Can you believe we’re already in the month of December 2021? Where has the time gone?
Last year at this time, while most people I know were preparing for Christmas, I was locked away trying to finish my Master’s dissertation after extensive feedback from my supervisor. I wrote, revised, scrapped and rewrote my dissertation titled, “CARICOM: Good Offices, Good Neighbours. Explaining the diversity of CARICOM Member States’ approaches vis-à-vis the Venezuelan crisis”.
That painstaking and painful dissertation would eventually become my first book published by Lambert Academic Publishing. It also qualified me to graduate with a Master’s in Contemporary Diplomacy from the University of Malta. Though the Covid pandemic has caused the ceremony to be postponed I celebrate that I will be graduating after the sacrifices made.
Speaking of sacrifices, what sacrifices did you make last year that have allowed you to reap benefits this year?
I am grateful that I can count many rewards. The 2021 harvest has been exceedingly, abundantly beyond all that I could ever think or imagine by God’s grace and faith-filled works. And there are still more rewards to come this month! I know some folks are winding down to spend quality time with their families during the Christmas vacation. That is awesome! But for me as an entrepreneur, I am in hot pursuit of some pending goals that I set for 2021. The great thing about these purpose-filled pursuits is that I know they will come to pass because I heard a heavenly whisper last month that said, “It is done. It is finished in December”.
If you believe that word, hold on to it and know that God is able to do what He said He will do, in His own timing.
Perhaps there are some goals and dreams of yours that seemingly dimmed or died along the way this year but the year is not yet over. They can still come to pass… if you believe. We need to speak what we see and believe until we see what we’ve spoken into being.
I started the year with my first unexpected book. Then God did a multiplier effect like He did with the fish and the loaves. I’ve since translated my book into French which will soon be available on Nouvelles Éditions Numériques Africaines (NENA) and my Spanish translation will soon be published in paperback before 2021 comes to a close.
I’m not boasting, just encouraging you to pursue your purpose with passion. You are well able! Yes you can do it!
