It’s been a long while since my last post! 14 May to be exact! So much has happened since then.
#ManifestationMay saw the manifestation of many desires of my heart and business goals. Have you ever had an idea that was bursting to come out of you and take physical form in front your eyes? Do you recall the excitement of seeing your thoughts manifest on paper, on screen and in real life? I love it when that happens! That was my month of May. Many seeds planted last year and earlier in 2021 manifested right before my eyes! It just proves that we must not be afraid to think big and believe bigger.
After publishing my first ever book in January 2021, “CARICOM: Good Offices, Good Neighbours”, the idea to translate it into French manifested in May. “CARICOM: Bons Offices, Bons Voisins” became a manuscript awaiting publication!
#JumpstartJune came along at a time when I was feeling weary. I had invested so much energy into launching this business during the previous months that by the time June rolled around I felt drained. Did you feel like this in June? And so it was that I heard in my spirit that it was time to get the jumper cables, connect to my power source and get a jumpstart! Such wisdom, expressed in such an analogy, could only come from God. So I took a little break… just two days where I did nothing! That break from the daily bustle was just what my body and mind needed to recharge! This energy boost powered me through the month of June. What energy source do you tap into to get things done?
One key highlight of June was a series of sargassum workshops hosted by the Mexican Institute for Marine Sciences known as CICIMAR-Centro Interdisciplinario de Ciencias Marinas del Instituto Politécnico Nacional. It is always exciting to support meetings with multilingual services. It is even more interesting when you gain exposure and insight into new body of knowledge. Sargassum seaweed has been wreaking havoc on the picture-perfect beaches of the Caribbean since 2015 but scientists have been finding innovative ways to use sargassum as a resource. The wealth of knowledge gained has energised me even further to conduct my own experiments!
#JubilantJuly was the word I received on the last day of June when I was asking God, what next? Well little did I know that I would have so many different reasons to celebrate. From a flourishing garden loaded with plantains, pimentos papayas and passion fruits to leads on publishing my first book in French, news of completion of my Master’s degree in Contemporary Diplomacy, meeting wonderful people across the globe from the comfort and safety of home, being trusted to translate a chef d’oeuvre by a renowned French playwright… surely I take none of these blessings for granted. It is indeed cause for jubilation! What are you grateful for that causes you to jubilate?
These divine downloads that appear as monthly motivational themes have kept me focused on my purpose in life. Seek first the kingdom of God and all the rest shall fall in line…What’s your purpose? What’s your focus?
